Michael and Kayla  serve as Light A Candle's Iraq Country Directors, living in Iraqi-Kurdistan with their two children.

They lead the organization's long-term work in Iraqi-Kurdistan. Their heart is to serve the local church, strengthen leaders, and meet the needs of vulnerable families, widows, and refugees throughout Iraqi-Kurdistan and the Arab world.

As a family, they feel a deep conviction to go where people are hurting to demonstrate how the love of Christ can transform lives.

In Iraqi-Kurdistan, they lead discipleship gatherings and relief efforts for displaced families from within Iraq and neighboring nations. Their desire is not only to respond to immediate humanitarian needs but to invest in long-term spiritual growth, leadership development, and community transformation.

They are currently building a team of monthly partners who will stand with them in prayer, encouragement, and financial support as they live a life poured out before the Lord.

Their family carries a simple mission: to bring the hope of Jesus to some of the hardest places in the world, one family, one neighborhood, one nation at a time.
